NFL Off-Season AFC Team Needs

What is each team looking to add this off-season to improve their roster in the AFC? We got you covered below.

AFC East:

Patriots- QB, WR, TE

New England's first priority is to ensure they bring back Tom Brady. They also need to find a QB for the future and draft some playmakers on offense at the WR/TE position. Keep an eye out for a potential Stefon Diggs trade.

Dolphins- QB, RB, OL

With three first round picks, this years draft could play a large role in shaping the Dolphins future. Look for the Dolphins to find their franchise QB, and potentially build their offense with a high level RB and a strong offensive lineman to pave rushing lanes and protect the QB.

Jets- WR, OL, TE

The Jets need to protect Sam Darnold if they want to get the most out of him. He also needs some more weapons, as he is likely to lose Robby Anderson to free agency. Keep an eye out for Jerry Jeudy in the first round and potentially a TE in round two or three.

Bills- WR, OL, RB

Josh Allen needs some more weapons to push him to the next level. John Brown and Cole Beasley are solid receivers, but he needs a game changer. Some more beef on the O-line along with a complementary RB to Devin Singletary should be a priority for the Bills as well.

AFC North:

Bengals- QB, WR, DL

After drafting Joe Burrow, the Bengals need to focus on adding talent around him to make sure he succeeds. Especially with the rumors of A.J. Green wanting to depart, expect an infusion of young talent to be added to the perimeter for Cincy. Look for the Bengals to add some edge rushers as well this offseason.

Ravens- WR, LB, DL

Adding some more dangerous weapons for Lamar Jackson needs to be a priority, as the only weapon that scares defenses is Hollywood Brown. The Ravens also struggled to find a replacement last year at LB for C.J. Mosely, and adding edge rushers to make guys like Mahomes and Watson can only help improve their chances at winning the AFC this year.

Steelers- QB, TE, OL

Big Ben is coming off an elbow injury, is approaching 40 years old, and it might be time to draft his QB of the future. Big Ben has some good ball left in him, but he needs a TE that can help him in the passing game and some O-lineman might need to be added to an aging group up front. Keep an eye on Jordan Love here.

Browns- OL, LB, S

The Browns have some of the best offensive firepower in the league, but they need to get better across their line to protect Baker Mayfield. A LB that can rush the passer and cover, and a safety in a league with some high level QB's to protect against the pass would be welcoming additions as well.

AFC South:

Texans- CB, OL, TE

The Texans have struggled to evaluate the CB position overt the past several years and need to get it right this offseason. Adding some more O-lineman to an improving group, and a potential dangerous TE to a pass catching group that includes Will Fuller and DeAndre Hopkins would only elevate DeShaun Watson's game.

Titans- QB, DE, RB

The Titans need to figure out what they are doing at QB. Tannehill, Brady, or maybe even someone through the draft? The Titans QB situation is one of the more intriguing storylines for a team fresh off an AFC title berth. Another young edge rusher to pair with Harold Landry would help take the Titans defense to another level too. With Derrick Henry being a free agent he is no sure thing to come back, and a pass catching back as Dion Lewis will most likely be cut is another position the Titans need to address.

Jaguars- TE, RB, CB

The Jags need a TE who can make plays in the passing game whether it is Foles or Minshew playing QB. Jacksonville also could use a secondary RB who can make plays in the passing game for their offense. They also need a CB to help replace Jalen Ramsey on the backend.

Colts- QB, WR, DE

The Colts need to find a replacement for Jacoby Brisett as he is a solid QB, but he isn't going to win the Colts a title anytime soon. Possible options through free agency could Be Philip Rivers, a trade for Derek Carr, or trading up for a guy like Justin Herbert. Indy also needs to add another pass catcher to pair with T.Y. Hilton and somebody who can rush off the edge consistently.

AFC West:

Chiefs- RB, CB, LB

Imagine the Chiefs offense with an elite RB like Derrick Henry through free agency or D'Andre Swift through the draft. Damien Williams is solid, but those guys could take their defense to the next level. Adding three down LB's and some more CB's to enhance their pass defense will be their main focus.

ree

Broncos- WR, OL, CB

QB Drew Lock came on strong to end the year and the Broncos need to add people on offense to help him develop. Courtland Sutton is a solid receiver, but in a deep pass catching draft the Broncos could look to add another high level receiver to pair with Sutton and maybe a mid round guy as well. Some interior lineman to help protect Lock as well will be a key foucs. Additionally, head coach Vic Fangio is a defensive specialist and he is going to look to add pieces to improve that unit especially at corner.

Raiders- QB, WR, LB

Are the Raiders sold on Derek Carr? There are rumors that they plan to look to add Tom Brady or Philip Rivers through free agency. Carr is a solid QB, but the Raiders might look to upgrade there. The Silver and Black need to add an elite receiver and they might target someone like Jerry Jeudy or Tee Higgins with the twelfth pick. Adding a LB to be the captain in the middle of that defense like through the draft with Oklahoma LB Kenneth Murray, or a veteran in free agency is going to be a point of focus as well.

Chargers- QB, OL, DL

Los Angeles needs to figure out who their signal caller for the 2020 season will be. After that they need to improve their offensive line as they have had poor pass protection for years, and look to add some more edge rushers to substitute in when Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram need a few snaps off.
