NFL Fantasy Start/Sit: Week One

Welcome back NFL! Here are some of my personal start/sit's for your fantasy lineup in PPR leagues for week one. Best of luck this season!

Start:

QB: Josh Allen vs Jets- Josh Allen gets a very healthy week one matchup against a poor Jets defense, and has a chance to make waves with his new number one target in Stefon Diggs on the outside. Allen has solid rushing value as well, and against a Jets team who is undermanned after injuries, and trades, sets up Allen for a big week in a potential breakout season.

QB:Jared Goff vs Cowboys- After losing Byron Jones in the offseason, and now having to rely on a young secondary, Goff is in good shape to put up a solid week one. With Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp being better than anyone in the Cowboys secondary, Goff should be set up for a big night to open the new stadium.

RB:James White vs Dolphins- Expect Josh McDaniels to dial up a lot of screens and easy passes for Cam Newton in his first live action with the Patriots. White doesn't provide much rushing value, but is always a solid bet to produce in PPR.

RB:Cam Akers vs Cowboys- My offensive rookie of the year prediction, Cam Akers will make his mark during week one against an average Cowboys defense. Look for Akers to be a featured back early and often with Todd Gurley gone, and Darrell Henderson Jr. currently sidelined.

WR: Keenan Allen @ Bengals- The Bengals lack a corner that can shutdown Keenan Allen. Fresh off a new payday, and with Mike Williams sidelined should lead to a big week one for the Chargers standout.

WR: Stefon Diggs vs Jets- Diggs is a guy who plays with a chip on his shoulder, and he is going to be looking to prove his worth of the big offseason trade in week one. The Jets secondary is a very weak unit, and don't have any players to matchup with Diggs.

TE: Hunter Henry @ Bengals- Cincy has one of the worst defensive in the league, and Tyrod Taylor will take advantage of that in his first game as the starter. Henry should see plenty of targets over the middle and in the red zone during week one.

TE: Rob Gronkowski @ Saints- This one is a gut feeling, and I think Brady and Gronk will capitalize on their chemistry in their first game for their new squad.

Sit:

QB: Aaron Rodgers @ Vikings- After an offseason where the Packers didn't address the WR position, and the Vikings recntly paired Yannick Ngakuoe to rush the passer with Danielle Hunter, it seems like Rodgers has nothing going for him in this one.

QB: Cam Newton vs Dolphins- We have NO idea what we are getting out of Cam Newton. After missing basically all of last year, and playing for a brand new team, against an improved defense, Newton's numbers this week are unpredictable. Play it safe, and keep him on the bench.

RB: Le'Veon Bell @ Bills- Rumors out of Jets camp are that Frank Gore might be leading the backfield in touches, and the Bills have a stout defensive front that will limit Bell's upside this week.

RB: Raheem Mostert vs Cardinals- With the return of Jerrick McKinnon, and the presence of Tevin Coleman, we are unsure of what Mostert's role will be week one. Until we get more clarity on Mostert's role, he is too risky to play.

WR: Jarvis Landry @ Ravens- The Ravens secondary is one of the stronger groups in the league, and Landry will face that tough task in the opener.

WR: DeVante Parker @ Patriots- Parker will likely be shadowed all afternoon by reigning defensive player of the year, Stephon Gilmore. Fantasy WR's go to die when being followed by the best corner in the league.

TE: Evan Engram vs Steelers- The Steelers have the best defense in the league in many people's eyes', and they are strong up the middle of their defense which will lead to a poor performance from Engram.

TE: Austin Hooper @ Ravens- I am not predicting a good debut for the big offseason addition in Cleveland. Playing against a Ravens defense that is one of the top in the league, and has LB's and Safety's that can cover the TE spot makes this a matchup to stay away from.
