NBA Final Mock Draft

2020 NBA Mock Draft

1st Round

  1. Minnesota: Anthony Edwards, G, Georgia- The best scorer in the draft can make an impact from all three levels on offense and has the best chance to be a multiple time all-star out of this draft.

  2. Golden State: Lamelo Ball, G, USA- One of the best passers in the draft, who can score the ball as well will allow Steph Curry and Klay Thompson to play off the ball more.

  3. Charlotte: James Wiseman, C, Memphis- A high flying big man with shot blocking ability, and a good offensive game to pair with his defensive prowess becomes a day one starter for Charlotte in the front court.

  4. Chicago: Deni Advija, F, Israel- Advija has so much positional versatility, and the Bulls are in position to just take the best player available here.

  5. Cleveland: Obi Toppin, F, Dayton- The Cavs need an impact player in the front court, and Toppin’s ability to be a player in the pick and roll/pop game makes him an ideal selection here.

  6. Atlanta: Tyrese Haliburton, G, Iowa State- Haliburton would be a perfect secondary ball handler to play with Trae Young, and at 6’6 with very good length makes him a great selection here.

  7. Detroit: Onyeka Okongwu, C, USC- The next potential Bam Adebayo is great on defense, and will be an elite player in the pick and roll game when it comes to catching lobs.

  8. New York: Killian Hayes, G, France- A crafty left handed PG that excels in the pick and roll.

  9. Washington: Aaron Nesmith, F, Vanderbilt- The best shooter in the draft will make a deadly combo with Bradley Beal from beyond the arc.

  10. Phoenix: Isaac Okoro, F, Auburn- A high level defender, that has an NBA ready body and will be able to shutdown guys on the wing while his offensive game develops.

  11. San Antonio: Sadiqq Bey, F, Villanova- Bey epitomizes positional versatility, and his ability to shoot the three ball and defend makes him a very safe pick.

  12. Sacramento: Devin Vassell, G, Florida State- One of the better shooters in the draft, he could replace Buddy Hield if he is traded.

  13. New Orleans: Kira Lewis, G, Alabama- Lewis is a young guard with upside that has great speed in the open court and can be a playmaking guard in the coming years.

  14. Boston: Precious Achiuwa, F, Memphis- A high energy player that can be a double figure rebounder at the pro level.

  15. Orlando: Tyrese Maxey, G, Kentucky- A lot of Donovan Mitchell in his game, he will benefit from playing with the Magic and having the ball in his hands a lot.

  16. Houston: Patrick Williams, F, Florida State- A very raw prospect that has a lot of potential to grow into as a “3 and D” player.

  17. Minnesota: Jalen Smith, F, Maryland- A very high upside prospect that projects as a stretch big that can block shots as well. Needs to add weight to his slight frame.

  18. Dallas: Tyrell Terry, G, Stanford- Terry is regarded as one of the better shooters in the draft, and he would be a good compliment to Luka in the backcourt for years to come.

  19. Brooklyn: Cole Anthony, G, UNC- A cat quick guard in the open floor, Anthony can learn behind Kyrie Irving and be a solid backup before taking over the reigns down the line.

  20. Miami: Cassius Winston, G, Michigan State- Cassius Winston fits right into the Heat culture, and can be the PG that follows in Goran Dragic’s footsteps.

  21. Philadelphia: Josh Green, G, Arizona- The Sixers are in desperate need of a guy who can create off the bounce on the perimeter, and defend. Green’s shot is a work in progress, but the potential is there as a “3 and D” prospect.

  25. Oklahoma City: Tyler Bey, F, Colorado- Bey is a player who can step in right away and be a lockdown defender from day one in the NBA.

  26. Boston: Aleksej Pokusevski, C, Serbia- A high upside prospect that can take his time developing overseas.

  29. Toronto: Nico Mannion, G, Arizona- A top level recruit produced at a solid level in his lone year at Arizona, but needs time to develop. He can step in behind Kyle Lowry, and try to fill the likely void that will be left by Fred Van Vleet.

  30. Boston: R.J. Hampton, G, USA- A high level athlete with untapped potential, that Boston could develop behind Kemba Walker.

  7. Washington: Jahmi’us Ramsey, G, Texas Tech- Ramsey is playmaking, scoring guard that can light up the scoreboard.

  8. New York: Cassius Stanley, G, Duke- Stanley is one of the best athletes in the draft and should benefit from the free flowing transition game that the NBA is as of now.

  9. New Orleans: Leandro Bolmaro, G, Italy- Another team with a lot of draft picks, and a very young roster, expect at least one draft and stash.

  10. Memphis: Xavier Tillman, C, Michigan State- Tillman is a tough, old school big man who will fit in with the culture that Memphis is growing.

  11. San Antonio: Daniel Oturu, C, Minnesota- Oturu is a player who would benefit from learning behind Aldridge and developing under the Spurs staff.

  12. New Orleans: Reggie Perry, C, Michigan State- Perry is one of the most versatile big men in the draft who is capable of having double-doubles, while also shooting the ball from the outside.

  13. Sacramento: Devon Dotson, G, Kansas- Dotson will be one of the better backup PG’s to come out of this draft as he can defend and run a team.

  14. Chicago: Isaiah Joe, G, Arkansas- Joe is a guy who can get hot in a hurry, and should be considered a microwave bench option.

  15. Orlando: Skylar Mays, G, LSU- Mays is a knockdown shooter who should step in and contribute right away.

  16. Portland: Jay Scrubb, G, USA- A Junior College standout adds some scoring, and athleticism on the wing for Portland.

  22. Sacramento: Sam Merrill, G, Utah State- Merrill is a high level shooter, who can score the ball at a high rate. A player that has the chance to stick around awhile in the league.

  23. Oklahoma City: Isaiah Stewart, C, Washington- Stewart is a banger down low, and is an adequate backup for the physical Steven Adams.

  24. Indiana: Udoka Azubuike, C, Kansas- Azubuike is an old school big man who will back up Myles Turner, and defend the rim while racking up boards.

  25. Brooklyn: Kenyon Martin Jr, F, USA- A prospect with high upside can develop in the G-League due to the Nets loaded roster.

  26. Charlotte: Markus Howard, G, Marquette- A high level scorer, with range that extends way beyond the three point line is worth the risk for a rebuilding roster.

  27. Clippers: Naji Marshall, F, Xavier- Marshall is a grit and grind forward that can control the glass and help the Clippers out on defense.

  28. Philadelphia: Killian Tillie, C, Gonzaga- Tillie is a big that can stretch the floor, and would be a nice change of pace when Embiid is out of the game.

  29. Toronto: Nate Hinton, G, Houston- Hinton is a high level scoring guard who can spend some time developing in Toronto.

  30. New Orleans: Immanuel Quickley, G, Kentucky- A guard who is quick in the open floor, can shoot the three ball, and defend will be a nice addition to the young Pelicans nucleus.
